Two police officers were shot during Monday evening’s skyscraper shooting in Midtown Manhattan, one of whom succumbed to his injuries, according to FOX News. Another two individuals were killed as well, according to BNO, but their identity is not known at this time.

The suspect was identified as Shane Tamura.

The shooter, who has not been named, is also dead, apparently after turning the gun on himself.

Meanwhile, former FBI agent Stuart Kaplan believes the suspect behind Monday evening’s skyscraper shooting in Midtown may have previously worked in the same building where the attack occurred.

Kaplan pointed to the shooter’s familiarity with the layout and his immediate targeting of a security guard as key indicators.”It seems he knew exactly where he wanted to be and where to go,” Kaplan told reporters.
