3 Killed Hy”d as Iranian Missile Hits Be’er Sheva Building Hours Before Ceasefire

Just before dawn Tuesday, the IDF reported a series of missile launches from Iran directed at Israel in four separate waves, however there were several impacts, including one that killed three people Hy”d in Beer Sheva.

The initial barrage began shortly after 5:00 a.m., consisting of two missiles that were intercepted successfully, with no reported casualties or damage, according to Magen David Adom (MDA).

A second wave followed around 5:30 a.m., involving four missiles. One of them struck a seven-story residential building in Be’er Sheva, resulting in multiple casualties. Emergency response teams, including MDA personnel, arrived quickly.

Three people were critically injured in the strike—a man in his 40s, a woman in her 30s, and a man in his 20s. All three tragically passed away. An additional seven people with moderate to light injuries were transported to Soroka Medical Center.

Last-minute, aggressive assaults are common in the hours before ceasefires with Israel’s enemies; similar occurrences were seen with Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists during their respective ceasefires.

Rescue efforts are ongoing as emergency responders made contact with three people still trapped under the debris. Home Front Command and Fire and Rescue units are actively working to free them.

MDA Senior EMT Shimrit Sela, who responded to the incident, told Arutz Sheva, “We saw thick smoke rising from the impact site, and as we got closer, we saw extensive destruction to several buildings. Outside one of the buildings, we saw an unconscious man lying at the entrance. When we went inside to search the building, we found a man and a woman unconscious. We set up a triage point for the injured and are conducting medical checks on residents coming out of the buildings.”

Eliyahu Yitzhak Tuval, who heads United Hatzalah’s Be’er Sheva branch, reported from the scene: “This is a very difficult scene, with extensive damage and destruction to a residential building. Some patients are in critical and severe condition. The rest of the patients are currently classified in light conditions. Searches are still being conducted to locate additional patients. Additionally, United Hatzalah Psychotrauma teams are assisting at the scene with anxiety victims.”

A third round of missile fire occurred just after 6:10 a.m., prompting warning sirens across central Israel, including in the Shfela and Sharon areas. All three missiles in that barrage were intercepted.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m., a fourth barrage was launched. Sirens sounded ten minutes later across central Israel, Sharon, the Shefla region, and in the Shomron. This volley included two to three missiles.

The attacks came just hours before a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran was set to go into effect. U.S. President Donald Trump had announced late Monday night that the two sides had agreed to a 12-hour ceasefire beginning at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, Israel time.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that Iran would begin the truce by halting fire six hours before Israel, which would reciprocate six hours later.
