Authorities report that a plane crash at the Kalispell City Airport resulted in no fatalities, and a fire that broke out was quickly contained.

Kalispell Fire Department Chief Jay Hagen told NBC Montana that a pilot and three passengers were aboard the landing aircraft.

According to Hagen, the plane collided with another aircraft on the runway during landing. Both planes were engulfed in flames.

Hagen confirmed that the pilot and passengers were able to walk away without injury.

Two individuals received treatment for minor injuries.

Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino told NBC that the Kalispell Police Department, the Sheriff’s Office, and local fire crews responded to the scene.

The incident was reported at 2:08 p.m., Heino added.

Rep. Ryan Zinke wrote on X: “My staff is on site at the plane crash at the Kalispell City Airport. From what we understand, no one was injured, praise God. We will be assisting local authorities and the airport in any way we can as they handle this unfortunate accident.”
