Agam Berger, freed last month from the clutches of Hamas terrorists, delivered her first public statement Monday night, urging Israelis to unify and accept upon themselves a good deed.

“When they saw our division, it made them happy,” Agam said of Hamas terrorists. “They told us that when we are united, we are strong. Let’s preserve our unity and strength as the people of Israel.”

Agam and her family began observing Torah after Oct. 7, and her mother made headlines for being careful about shmiras Shabbos even when it came to greeting her daughter.

“I truly believe that each and every one of us has the power to do something to help bring the hostages home,” Agam said. “I ask you to take on just one good deed. It really brings everyone’s return home closer.
She thanked Israeli soldiers and officers for risking their lives to save the hostages. “Thank you to all the people of Israel who have stood by our families, fought, struggled, supported them, prayed and did everything possible to bring us home.”
