The FBI is investigating what it has identified as a “targeted terror attack” in Boulder, Colorado, when Jewish people at a hostage awareness group were targeted by an Alantisemitic terrorist hours before Yom Tov. Five injured have been reported so far, but b’chasdei Hashem there were no fatalities. The extent of the injuries is not yet known, nor is the number of injured.

The Boulder Police Department posted on social media that it is also addressing the incident and noted that there are “reports of several victims.”

According to Axios, one suspect has been taken into custody for allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail at attendees of the pro-Israel demonstration.

The Anti-Defamation League reports that the assault occurred during the Boulder Run for Their Lives, a weekly event organized by members of the Jewish community to walk or run in solidarity with the hostages taken during Hamas’s October 7 attack.

“We are aware of and fully investigating a targeted terror attack in Boulder, Colorado,” Kash Patel wrote on X. He added, “our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available.”

Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, in response to the Colorado attack, said in a statement shared with Belaaz:

“Terrorism against Jews does not stop at the Gaza border – it is already burning the streets of America. Today, in Boulder, Colorado, Jewish people marched with a moral and humane demand: to return the hostages. In response, the Jewish protesters were brutally attacked, with an attacker throwing a Molotov cocktails at them. Make no mistake – this is not a political protest, this is terrorism. The time for statements is over. It is time for concrete action to be taken against the instigators wherever they may be.”
