Popular children’s YouTube star Ms. Rachel (Rachel Griffin Accurso) is facing intense backlash after admitting she “liked” a comment on her Instagram page that explicitly called for America to be “free from the Jews.”
The controversy began after Accurso posted a graphic to her Instagram stories listing “Free Palestine, Free Sudan, Free Congo, Free Iran.” Beneath the post, a user commented, “Free America from the Jews.”
Screenshots circulated rapidly online showing that the comment had been liked by the account @msrachel.
In an emotional apology video, the 43-year-old content creator claimed the “like” was a result of a clumsy mistake caused by her age.
“I was just tapping and thought [the comment] was deleted,” Accurso wrote in a caption, later adding in a video, “I want to say that it’s OK to be human and it’s OK to make mistakes and I’m old, so I am not as good with touching things online, I guess.”
She insisted that she intended to “hide” the comment but hit the like button instead. “I would never agree with an antisemitic thing like the comment,” she said. “We have Jewish family, a lot of my friends are Jewish.”
This is not the first time the content creator has faced scrutiny regarding her stance on Jewish issues. Accurso was recently in consideration for the “Antisemite of the Year” award by the watchdog group StopAntisemitism. While the title was ultimately awarded to Tucker Carlson, Accurso indoctrinated children to hate Israel and to beliefe lies spread by Hamas terrorists.
Furthermore, despite her claims that the interaction was a technical error, Belaaz has obtained a screenshot of a separate interaction that raises further questions.
In a social media exchange obtained by Belaaz, a user wrote to Ms. Rachel accusing Jews of posting the antisemitic comment themselves to frame her. In response to the user suggesting Jews fabricated the hate speech, Ms. Rachel did not refute the conspiracy theory, but instead replied with a single word: “ooooohhhhh.”

Accurso, who boasts 18.6 million subscribers on YouTube and was recently named to New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s inaugural committee, has stated she is “broken” over the incident.
