Arab foreign ministers on Saturday rejected the transfer of Palestinians “under any circumstances or justifications,” presenting a unified stance against U.S. President Donald Trump’s call for Egypt and Jordan to take in residents of Gaza.
The Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, the Palestinian Authority, and the Arab League issued a joint statement declaring their rejection of President Trump’s plan to transfer Palestinians from Gaza “under any circumstances.”
Barack Ravid reported that President Trump spoke on Saturday with Egyptian President Abdul Fatah el-Sisi to discuss his idea of moving Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan in order to rebuild the Strip.
In a press conference in the Oval Office, President Trump was asked whether Egypt and Jordan would take Palestinians from Gaza and responded: “They will do it. They are going to do it. We do a lot for them, and they are going to do it.”
