Arizona State Courts Building Evacuated After Homemade Explosives Found In Mail Room

Authorities ordered the evacuation of the Arizona State Courts Building in downtown Phoenix on Monday following reports that explosives were discovered in the facility’s mail room.
According to 12News, preliminary testing indicated that the package contained homemade explosive material.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed it was examining a suspicious package sent to the building but said it could not release additional information while the investigation was ongoing.
The Arizona State Courts Building, which is home to the state Supreme Court, is situated near the Capitol complex at 15th Avenue and Washington Street.
