Australia has revoked the visa of American rapper Kanye West, known as Ye, following the release of his song “Heil Hitler,” which the government says promotes Nazism, according to the country’s Home Affairs Minister.

The controversial track, released in May, came on the heels of a series of antisemitic posts by West on X, including statements such as “I love Hitler” and “I’m a Nazi.”

Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said that while earlier offensive remarks hadn’t triggered a visa review, authorities “looked at it again” in light of the new song.

“It was a lower level (visa) and the officials still looked at the law and said you’re going to have a song and promote that sort of Nazism, we don’t need that in Australia,” Burke told ABC.

“We have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry,” he added.

West, who is married to Australian architect Bianca Censori, has longstanding personal ties to Australia and had visited frequently before the visa decision.

Burke’s office declined to provide the exact date of the cancellation. West’s representatives did not respond to a request for comment outside of U.S. business hours.

Just weeks earlier, Australia denied entry to pro-Israel influencer Hillel Fuld, and in October, barred conservative U.S. commentator Candace Owens.
