Yisrael Beiteinu head Avigdor Liberman announced Sunday that his party will run alone, in a bid to become Prime Minister, amid speculation that he would run together with National Union’s Gadi Eisenkot.

Eisenkot is reportedly trying to form a united front of several parties.

Liberman tole Radio 103FM that he would not run with Eisenkot, rather he would “run to be head of government.”

“I plan to run to be head of government. I really respect Eisenkot, but that’s not my worldview, we are totally different,” he says. “We are different on policy, security and socially, even more so from [Yesh Atid leader Yair] Lapid and Gantz.
