B’chasdei Hashem, an avreich at Beis Medrash Govoha who was wrongfully arrested last week was released Monday afternoon, askanim tell Belaaz.

Rabbanim, including the Roshei Yeshiva of BMG shlita, together with askanim, lobbied for the release of Rabbi Binyomin Kubani, who was arrested after attempting to hire a teenaged boy who was working at a car wash to clean his house – a common request.

Rabbi Yosef Heineman, CEO of BMG, embraced Rabbi Kubani as he left the county detention center.

There appears to have been a misunderstanding due to Rabbi Kubani not speaking English as his first language.

Despite having no evidence, police would not permit R. Kubani from even releasing a statement of his version of the events.

A public outcry ensued, and a special atzeres tefilah was held in BMG Sunday afternoon, to daven on behalf of Rabbi Kubani.
