A tragedy occurred Thursday afternoon in Boro Park, where a fire on 12th Avenue claimed the life of a celebrated community member.

Emergency personnel responded to reports of a fire at a residence located at the corner of 12th Avenue and 47th Street. Despite the best efforts of first responders, the victim was unfortunately found deceased.

The niftar has been identified as Reb Amram Mizrachi z”l.

Neighbors of Reb Amram tell Belaaz that he was a well-known figure in the neighborhood, remembered as a friendly and welcoming personality who always bore a smile. They said he was a major talmid chacham, and that he would daven at the Tenker shul and Tiferes Eliezer (Lev). He was also a dedicated Baal Koreh at the Tenker shul.

Volunteers from Chesed Shel Emes and Misaskim arrived on the scene, working tirelessly to ensure the highest standards of kavod hames.
