Rebbetzin Leah Feiga Sorotzkin, a”h, wife of Hagaon Harav Binyamin Sorotzkin, zt”l, and mother of ybl”c Harav Shalom Ber Sorotzkin shlita, Rosh Yeshiva of Ateres Shlomo, was nifteres Wednesday morning at Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.

She was 79 years old.

The levaya was held at 2:15 PM from the Shamgar Funeral Home in Yerushalayim, proceeding to Har HaMenuchos for burial.

The nifteres was born in the United States on 14 Iyar 5706 (1946) to her father, Rabbi Shalom Dov Silver zt”l, and her mother, Mrs. Chaya Rachel, A”H.
After reaching marriageable age, she married her esteemed husband, Hagaon Harav Binyamin Sorotzkin, zt”l, mechaber of Sefer Nachlas Binyamin. Rav Binyamin was the son of Hagaon Harav Baruch Sorotzkin, zt”l, Rosh Yeshiva of the Telz Yeshiva in Cleveland, and the grandson of Hagaon Harav Zalman Sorotzkin, zt”l, the Rav of Lutsk.

Together, Rav Binyamin and the Rebbetzin built their home on the foundations of Torah and Yiras Shamayim.The Rebbetzin stood faithfully at her husband’s right hand, supporting his dedication to Torah.
She lived all her years in Telz-Stone, where she worked for many years as a psychologist and was deeply involved in the field of chinuch.

She was blessed with a large family; sons, daughters, sons-in-law, and daughters-in-law, who continue in her path.
