Boris Tetleroyd Hy’d, described by his family as “warm, generous, and deeply sociable,” has been identified as the 13th victim killed in the Chanukah terror attack at Bondi Beach.
“Our beloved husband and father, Boris Tetleroyd, was killed during the attack at the Chanukah gathering in Bondi,” the family said in a statement. They added that his son, Yakov Tetleroyd, was seriously injured and is currently recovering after multiple surgeries.
Tetleroyd’s death has left his family reeling, though they emphasized a message of resilience and unity. “Still, we do not seek blame or division. We seek understanding, compassion, and the ability to move forward without having to hide who we are,” the statement said.
The Bondi Beach Islamic terror attack, which occurred during the first night of Chanukah, claimed 15 lives in total and left dozens injured, marking the deadliest attacks on the Jewish community in recent Australian history.
