Moments ago, Israeli Air Force has initiated a massive wave of airstrikes targeting Hamas terror strongholds in the Gaza Strip. This development comes after Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz instructed the IDF to prepare for a potential aerial assault on Hamas as a lower-level response.

According to security sources, this is the most extensive aerial attack on Hamas since the latest round of violence began. Dozens of terror targets have been hit, including Hamas commanders and operatives, terrorist tunnels, and weapons storage facilities.

The Israeli military has emphasized the element of surprise in this operation, aiming to maximize the elimination of Hamas terrorists simultaneously.

At the same time, Israel has left room for continued diplomatic efforts, with this current action appearing to be an aerial, rather than ground-based, operation. Though there are some reports of tanks and ground forces operating in Rafah, Gaza.

In response to the escalating tensions, schools in communities surrounding the Gaza Strip have been canceled until further notice, as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff.
