The Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC, reopened Thursday following the tragic terror attack that claimed the lives of two Israeli embassy employees just outside its premises last week.

The victims, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, were fatally shot after attending an event at the museum on Wednesday evening. The suspect, Elias Rodriguez, shouted “Free Palestine” during the attack and later told authorities, “I did it for Gaza.”

To mark the museum’s reopening, a special memorial was held in honor of Lischinsky and Milgrim.

The commemorative program featured remarks from museum officials, elected leaders, and local religious figures.

The museum reopened to the public at noon.
