General Michael Erik Kurilla, head of U.S. Central Command, returned to Israel Thursday for high-level discussions with Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz and IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, an Israeli official told The Times of Israel.
The meetings center on Iran, though other regional matters involving Israel are also under discussion.
A third round of U.S.-Iran nuclear talks is scheduled for Saturday. President Donald Trump has warned Iran it may face military action if it rejects a deal.
Earlier this month, Kurilla visited the IDF’s Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv for discussions with Zamir.
