Delta Airlines announce that will resume its New York-Tel Aviv route on April 1, one week before Pesach, becoming the first US carrier to resume flights since services were halted during the war in October 2023
This move will also add nearly 2,000 weekly seats to the popular New York-Tel Aviv route.
In a statement, Delta said its decision to resume services “follows a comprehensive security review, conducted in close coordination with government and private-sector partners. The airline continues to prioritize the safety of its customers and crews and has implemented additional precautions for operations to and from Tel Aviv.”
Delta has also entered into a codeshare agreement with El Al Israel Airlines, allowing Delta customers to book nonstop flights from major US cities like Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale to Tel Aviv.
According to a report United Airlines expects to resume its flights to Tel Aviv on February 22, further contributing to the return of air travel to the region.
