On the fourth day of the temporary ceasefire in Gaza, during which three Israeli hostages have already been released, the IDF conducted an operation in Gaza and eliminated a Hamas terrorist.

The IDF spokesperson updated that over the past 24 hours, IDF forces have acted against threats to IDF forces in the Gaza Strip, in spite of the terms of the ceasfire agreement that are in effect.

In the southern Gaza Strip, IDF forces operating in accordance with the ceasefire terms identified several armed terrorists posing a threat to the forces. The operation led to the elimination of the terrorist, Akram Atif Farhan Zanon, a member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist organization.

Additionally, in several areas across the Gaza Strip, masked terrorists were spotted moving toward IDF forces and were met with warning shots.

The IDF says it is determined to fully implement the terms of the agreement in order to secure the return of the hostages. The IDF is prepared for any scenario and will continue to take all necessary actions to eliminate any immediate threats to its soldiers.

“The IDF once again urges Palestinian residents to follow the instructions of the IDF and avoid approaching the forces deployed in the area,” the IDF spokesperson added.
