EasyJet Passenger Shouts “Allahu Akbar,” Claims Bomb on Flight to Glasgow

A man on board an easyJet flight from Luton, England, to Glasgow, Scotland, was taken into custody Sunday morning after shouting “Allahu Akbar” and claiming he had a bomb, according to a report by *The Guardian*.
The 41-year-old was subdued by passengers before being arrested upon arrival in Glasgow. Scotland Police stated that the suspect remains in custody and that counterterrorism officers are handling the investigation.
Witnesses said the man emerged from the airplane bathroom, raised his hands, and shouted, “Find the bomb on the plane. Death to America. Death to Trump.” The U.S. President is currently visiting Scotland.
Three passengers intervened to restrain the suspect while flight attendants retrieved his belongings. The pilot conducted an emergency landing, after which police entered the aircraft on the runway to apprehend him.
Officials say they believe the incident was isolated and that no other suspects were involved.
