EL AL Israel Airlines is planning a significant expansion of its U.S.–Israel service for summer 2026, saying it expects to operate up to 55 weekly flights between the United States and Tel Aviv during peak travel periods.

The airline’s largest increase will be in the New York metropolitan area, where it plans to add three additional weekly flights split between JFK and Newark. During peak summer weeks, EL AL expects to run as many as seven daily flights from the New York area.

Miami is also slated to see an increase, with one additional weekly flight planned as part of the summer schedule.

According to the airline, the U.S. expansion is part of a broader seasonal buildup that would bring its global operation to roughly 900 weekly flights. The summer plan includes added capacity on select long-haul routes, with EL AL indicating it intends to deploy larger aircraft on some services to accommodate higher demand.
