A tragic road accident occurred on the E40 highway in Furnes, Belgium, on Wednesday night, resulting in the heartbreaking death of 12-year-old Daniel Rubin z”l from London, just two weeks before his Bar Mitzvah. 



Daniel was ejected from the SUV after it flipped over while traveling with his family from Antwerp back to London after visiting Belgium for a relative&#8217;s Simcha.



Emergency services arrived to the scene but sadly they were unable to save Daniel&#8217;s life. Five others sustained minor injuries.

Earlier this morning, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said: &#8220;We are very, very close to a hostage deal, but still far because we are not there yet. It’s possible to finalize it before January 20th, but I can&#8217;t be certain.&#8221;

Negotiations for Hostage Deal Progressing; Trump’s Envoy Arrived in Israel

Israel is preparing for the upcoming execution of a hostage deal, with details to be presented to the cabinet members and followed by a vote among government ministers. Prime Minister Netanyahu has secured a majority in support of the deal.



This evening, the Prime Minister met with political reporters in Israel and outlined the emerging hostage deal, which will include several phases, during which all 98 hostages held in Gaza will be released.



In the first phase, Hamas will release 33 hostages, both dead and alive, including female soldiers, other women, men over the age of 50, as well as the sick and injured.



In exchange, approximately 1,300 Palestinian prisoners, including hundreds of life-term prisoners, will be released. The exact number is expected to change depending on the list of hostages that Hamas will provide.



During the first phase, negotiations will take place for the second phase, which will include discussions on a &#8220;permanent ceasefire.&#8221; The second phase will involve the release of the remaining hostages, including male soldiers and bodies of those killed. At the same time, there will be a mass release of Palestinian prisoners.

The IDF spokesperson permitted the release of information on Saturday night that four soldiers were killed in a military operation in the Gaza Strip after an explosive device was detonated, causing a building they were in to collapse.



According to reports, the four soldiers were killed after an explosive device was likely activated against an IDF unit operating in the Beit Hanoun in the northeast of the Gaza Strip. In the incident, one soldier and one officer were seriously injured. The deputy commander of the brigade, a lieutenant colonel, was lightly injured but continued to command the rescue operation calmly while under fire.

The initial probe suggests that a powerful explosive device was likely activated against the command post of the deputy commander of the Nachal Brigade. Three soldiers were sadly killed on the spot, and an additional soldier died from his wounds during the evacuation from the area.



Since the start of the Israeli military operation in Gaza, 400 soldiers have fallen in battle, in addition to the 329 soldiers who were killed in the October 7th battles.



Since the beginning of the current operation in the northern Gaza Strip in early October, 50 soldiers have fallen. Among them, 11 soldiers were killed in Beit Hanoun, and 10 soldiers died in the past week alone

In its statement, the IDF emphasized that the Hizaz power station, essential for Houthi operations, and the Al Hudaydah and Ras Isa ports were struck, further showing the Houthis&#8217; use of civilian infrastructure for military purposes. The IDF also highlighted the regime’s dependence on Iran for resources and support in carrying out its attacks on Israel.

The US Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision, declined President-elect Donald Trump’s bid to delay his sentencing in his New York hush money case, now clearing the way for him to face judgment tomorrow’s case.



Four justices, including Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh, expressed support for granting Trump&#8217;s request to delay his sentencing, but the Supreme Court ultimately ruled against it

IDF Intercepts Houthi Drone Over Southern Israel

A senior Israeli official confirmed to Barak Ravid that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to have a phone call with U.S. President Joe Biden tonight.



 The conversation will focus on critical matters, including the ongoing negotiations for the release of hostages and the prospects for a Gaza ceasefire deal. Earlier today, White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan told CNN that President Biden is expected to speak with Israeli prime minister Netanyahu “in the near future” to discuss the negotiations over the Gaza hostage and ceasefire deal.

 The missile was successfully intercepted by Israel&#8217;s air defense system, the IDF confirmed.

US President-elect Donald Trump revealed plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. &#8220;He wants to meet and we&#8217;re setting it up,&#8221; Trump stated earlier during a press conference, confirming the high-profile diplomatic meeting is in the works.
