President Trump met a number of days ago in the Oval Office with Frum (Orthodox Jewish) businessman Ben Landa, a prominent resident of the Five Towns area in New York.
Joining the meeting was former Trump political adviser Roger Stone, who is a friend of Mr. Landa.
A photo of the meeting was shared exclusively with Belaaz.
Sources tell Belaaz that Mr. Landa is actively seeking President Trump’s nomination to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Hungary. The meeting is seen as a significant step in his push for the key diplomatic post. Landa met with stone several times regarding the topic and stone is pushing for his nomination, Belaaz is told.

Other names being floated for the role include:
- Bryan Leib: A pro-Orbán conservative activist who has publicly criticized Pressman online and advocated for warmer U.S.-Hungary ties.
- David Cornstein: Trump’s previous ambassador (2018–2020), a major donor who closely aligned with Hungarian PM Orbán. He could return for a second term.
- Nancy Brinker: Former ambassador to Hungary under President Bush (2001–2003), known for her work in health advocacy and bilateral relations.
