Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has met with Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun, the nominee for U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, as seen in pictures shared with Belaaz.

The meeting took place Wednesday night at the Blair House, the President’s official guest residence. According to sources who were in attendance, the meeting was very warm, and the two spoke on matters related to the international Jewish community.

The meeting comes as Netanyahu is in Washington for a series of critical discussions with President Donald Trump and top U.S. officials. His schedule has included meetings with Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio at Blair House, as well as a dinner with Trump at the White House and a second, unscheduled meeting between the two leaders.

The discussions have reportedly centered on efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza, the release of hostages, and strategies concerning Iran.

During the meeting, Rabbi Kaploun recalled being in 770 Eastern Parkway when the Prime Minister famously met with the Lubavitcher Rebbe during hakafos.

Netanyahu expressed his deep appreciation for the memory, stating that he carries the Rebbe’s words with him daily. He extended his best wishes to Rabbi Kaploun for success in the crucial work of combating antisemitism. The Prime Minister also highlighted President Trump’s unparalleled and historic support for the State of Israel and the Jewish people.

Separately, in a gesture of appreciation for the strong ties between the two nations, Netanyahu hosted a reception celebrating the U.S.-Israel bond at the Blair House, first reported by Belaaz, which obtained an invitation for the 7PM affair.
