A 33-year-old Muslim Egyptian asylum seeker attacked a Jewish boy wearing a Yarmulke and his mother. The suspect then turned on a shopkeeper who attempted to stop the attacker, stabbing him with broken glass.

The suspect approached the boy and his mother and began hitting the victim. A nearby shopkeeper attempted to intervene, but the suspect attacked him with a piece of a glass bottle.

Security footage published by police on Monday shows the suspect lunging at the shopkeeper, attempting to stab him with the broken glass.

Police arrested the suspect, who had international protection status in Italy, and charged him. The Police Immigration Office is investigating.
