Ohad Ben Ami, recently freed from Hamas captivity, shares his emunah in Hashem in a message to Klal Yisrael, published Monday by Shai Graucher, who has exerted Herculean efforts in helping hostages, their families, and the bereaved families of fallen soldiers.
While wearing Tefillin after singing with friends and family, Ohad says:
“My message to klal Yisrael is that our nation is very Strong, despite the fact that we appear to come from different places, different countries, nevertheless we are very strong, and what unites us is our faith in Hashem.”
“I feel I was saved by Hashem,” Ohad says.
“It (emunah) gives us strength in times that we are brought down or in danger, it lets us overcome all of our challenges and emerge even stronger.”
Ohad says after returning from captivity, he thanks Hashem and that he understands now that being in captivity helped him “fix many things…but this only strengthens me.”
Ohad has previously spoken publicly about the horrors and torture he and other hostages faced at the hands of the cruel Hamas terrorists.
