A chilling anti-Semitic assault unfolded near Milan, Italy, where a French rabbi and his six-year-old son were attacked by a pro-Hamas mob. The incident occurred near the Malpensa Airport while the pair was visiting a local convenience store.

The crowd reportedly began by shouting hate-filled slogans, including, “Murderers, you are not at home. You are in Milan; liberate Palestine.” A video circulating on social media captured the verbal abuse just moments before the violence escalated.

According to Kan 11, the rabbi had briefly stepped away to use the store’s restroom, where he was ambushed by four men of Arab descent. His son-in-law later told reporters that local police made no effort to track down the attackers, and the store claimed there were no surveillance cameras covering the bathroom area.

A Chabad community member recounted that the rabbi was forcefully thrown to the ground, punched, and had his glasses broken. The rabbi’s young son was pushed aside during the incident, but thankfully, a passerby intervened and shielded him from further harm. Both father and son have since returned to France, where the rabbi will receive medical care.

The terrifying image of the frightened child was widely shared online, including by the prominent “Jewish Voice” page in France. The post triggered an outpouring of outrage, including one comment from a non-Jewish user named Dido: “It’s time to severely punish these acts that are increasing every day. I’m not Jewish, but I know the history: starting with a drawing, sticking a star on it, evicting people… We know the sad aftermath. My parents taught me this when I was very young.”

This attack is the latest in a disturbing surge of anti-Semitic incidents spreading across Europe, where religious Jews are being targeted—not for their political views or citizenship, but simply for visibly identifying as Jews.
