Hamas has until this moment failed to provide the names of the hostages to be released today, as previously agreed upon. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) to not to begin the ceasefire that was set to take effect at 08:30 AM.

The IDF spokesperson has confirmed that Hamas has not upheld its commitment, and as a result, the Israeli military will continue to attack Gaza.

N12 reporter Amit Segal reports that contrary to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s statements and the IDF spokesperson’s briefing, IDF officers in Gaza report that the IDF has been ceased fire for several hours already.

This development throws into doubt the fragile ceasefire agreement that had been brokered by Qatari mediators.
