A senior Hamas representative told CNN on Sunday that the terrorists are willing to release between seven and nine Israeli hostages in return for a two-month truce in Gaza and the release of 300 Palestinian terrorism prisoners.

However, top Hamas terrorist Sami Abu Zuhri denied the claim during an interview with Qatar-based Al Jazeera, stating the CNN report is inaccurate.

Abu Zuhri also asserted that Hamas is ready to free all captives in a single stage, provided that Israel agrees to a complete end to the war with guarantees from the international community.

The unnamed Hamas source added that such a deal would also require Israeli forces to pull back “east of the Salah al-Din Corridor,” referring to the border areas around Gaza.

CNN’s report did not make clear whether this proposal has been officially submitted as part of the ongoing peace talks currently underway in Qatar.
