Hamas released a statement confirming it is reviewing a ceasefire proposal put forward by mediators, aimed at “end[ing] the aggression in Gaza, ensure [the IDF’s] withdrawal, and provide urgent aid” to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The terror group said it had received the proposal and is engaged in discussions with the mediators to “bridge gaps” before returning to negotiations in pursuit of a potential ceasefire agreement.

An Egyptian official stated that a Hamas delegation is scheduled to meet today in Cairo with both Egyptian and Qatari mediators to continue talks on the proposed deal.

Earlier in the day, a Hamas official signaled the group’s willingness to consider a ceasefire with Israel, but stopped short of endorsing the US-backed proposal unveiled by President Donald Trump. The official reiterated Hamas’ demand that any agreement must result in a full end to the war in Gaza.
