In a new statement, the Hamas terror orgenization says it is still waiting for Israel’s response to the August 18 proposal, which they claim it and other Palestinian factions accepted.
Hamas says it is ready for a deal to exchange all Hostages for Palestinian terrorist prisoners, end the Gaza war, withdraw Israeli forces, open crossings for aid, and begin reconstruction, adding that it also supports an independent technocratic government to manage Gaza immediately.
The Prime Minister’s Office responded, calling Hamas’s statement “another spin with nothing new.” It stated that the war can end immediately if Hamas meets the cabinet’s conditions: “release of all hostages,” disarmament of Hamas, demilitarization of Gaza, Israeli security control over Gaza, and establishment of “an alternative civilian administration that does not promote terrorism, dispatch terrorists, or threaten Israel.”
Netanyahu’s office emphasized that “only these conditions will prevent Hamas from rearming and repeating the October 7 massacre, as it vows to do.”
