Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar TV aired footage that it claims shows Israeli forces building a new concrete wall along the border with Lebanon, reportedly extending beyond the UN-demarcated Blue Line, across from the northern Israeli community of Avivim.
Unverified reports allege that certain parts of the barrier stretch one to two kilometers into Lebanese territory, near one of five strategic positions still controlled by the IDF since Israel’s withdrawal under the November 2024 ceasefire.
The footage comes as tensions along Israel’s northern border have intensified, with the terrorists rebuilding their arsenal of missiles while the IDF has been stepping up airstrikes against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon over the past several weeks. The terrorists have been smuggling arms from Iran and Iraq, as Israel decimated Hezbollah’s own weapons production facilities last year.
The IDF has not yet released an official statement regarding the report.
