Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet with the families of the hostages tomorrow at 2:00 pm to discuss the developments.

A senior Israeli official has made it clear that Israel will not leave Gaza until all hostages are released. The official stated, “We will not abandon Gaza until all the hostages are freed.”

Israel is eagerly awaiting a response from Hamas, hoping it will arrive soon. However until this very moment, Hamas has yet to provide Israel with a list of the living hostages.

Notably, the list of terrorists Israel will release includes many with blood on their hands, but excludes those involved in the October 7 attack.

Key points on the Israel-Hamas ceasefire talks, according to an Israeli official briefing military reporters:

Progress in Talks: Israel and Hamas are in advanced stages of negotiations for a ceasefire deal, with progress made in talks coordinated by Qatar, Egypt, and the US.¹

Hostage Release: The first stage of the deal would see Hamas release 33 “humanitarian” hostages, including children, women, and the elderly.

Stages of the Deal:

Stage 1: Hamas releases 33 humanitarian hostages.

Stage 2 (16 days after Stage 1): Israel begins negotiations to free remaining captives, including male soldiers and men of military age, and the bodies of slain hostages.

Israel’s Leverage: Israel is holding onto significant “assets,” including high-profile terrorists and territory in the Gaza Strip, to use as leverage in the second stage of negotiations.

Ceasefire Agreement: The complete ceasefire agreement would involve Israel withdrawing from most areas of the Gaza Strip, releasing Palestinian prisoners, and maintaining a buffer zone inside Gaza to defend Israeli border communities.

US Involvement: The US is playing a key role in the negotiations, with both the Biden and Trump teams involved, including Biden envoy Brett McGurk and Trump official Steve Witkoff.
