A spokesperson for the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists told Al Jazeera Wednesday that their recent agreement with the United States “serves the Palestinian cause and embarrasses Israel,” as officials stated that the arrangement would not put an end to strikes on Israel.

“We will continue targeting Israeli ships until aid is delivered to Gaza,” the spokesman stated, adding, “We will assess any future American support for Israel and determine our position accordingly.”

He further threatened Israel for its response to the attack on Ben Gurion airport, saying “Our response to the Israeli entity is inevitably coming,” following a wave of Israeli airstrikes strikes on key Houthi-controlled locations, including Sana’a’s international airport, the Hodeida port, and a local concrete factory over the past two days.

Mohammed Abdul-Salam, the Houthis’ chief negotiator, told Reuters that “the agreement does not include Israel in any way, shape or form.”

Speaking to Yemen’s Al-Masirah network, Abdul-Salam clarified that “the agreement was to halt American aggression against Yemen in exchange for stopping attacks on American ships — with no mention whatsoever of targeting the territory of the Zionist regime.”

An Israeli official, speaking to the Associated Press, said the deal caught Yerushalayim off guard and raised concerns about its implications for continued conflict between Israel and the Houthi terrorists.
