One of the suspects in a mass shooting targeting firefighters in northern Idaho was found dead, miles by authorities, Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris announced Sunday night.
Norris wrote that the body of the man, who has yet to be identified, was found on Canfield Mountain, and that a firearm was recovered nearby.
The shooting occurred in the city of Coeur d’Alene.
“At this time, the Shelter in Place is being lifted however there is still an active wildfire on Canfield Mountain,” Norris wrote. “Residents in the area are advised to be prepared and ready should further action need to be taken.”
