The IDF and ISA announced Wednesday morning that they had eliminated the terrorist responsible for holding Shir Bibas Hy”d and her two young sons, Ariel Hy”d(4) and Kfir Hy”d (10 months), hostage.
The joint operation took place last week in Nuseirat, where Musbah Salim Musbah Dayyah, the leader of the Mujahideen terrorist organization in Gaza, was targeted and killed.
According to the IDF, “In his role as the head of the terrorist organization, he was responsible for recruiting terrorist operatives in Judea and Samaria and in Israel, through whom he advanced and carried out terror attacks and terrorist activity. Throughout the war, the organization under his leadership was involved in orchestrating terror attacks against the State of Israel and attacks against IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip.”
The military added that Dayyah assumed command after three previous leaders of the group were killed in Israeli strikes in recent months. His elimination, they said, weakens the organization’s ability to coordinate terror operations in Gaza, Yehudah and Shomron, and inside Israel.
The Mujahideen group was deeply involved in the October 7 massacre, participating in abductions and murders. Although not aware of Hamas’ plans in advance, they aligned themselves with Hamas’ atrocities inside Israel.
Among their crimes was the kidnapping of Shiri and her sons Ariel and Kfir, all of whom were murdered in captivity shortly after the war began.
The IDF and ISA concluded their statement by affirming: “The IDF and ISA will continue to operate against the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip and to remove any threat posed to the State of Israel.”
