The IDF currently assesses that nearly the entire Houthi cabinet, including the terror group’s prime minister and 12 ministers, were probably killed in Thursday’s strike in Yemen, according to a Channel 12 report.
The Israel Defense Force believes that, in addition to Houthi Defense Minister Major General Mohamed al-Atifi and Chief of General Staff Major General Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari, the entire Houthi Political Cabinet, including Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi, was killed in the Israeli Air Force strikes on Sana’a, the Houthi-controlled capital of Western Yemen, on August 28.
The assessment is not yet final, and military officials are continuing to examine the full outcome of the strike, the report noted.
Channel 12 also said the Houthi defense minister and the group’s military chief of staff had been on their way to the meeting location shortly before the strike, and appear to have arrived just as the explosion occurred.
