IDF Eliminates Key Hezbollah Terrorist

The IDF targeted and killed a Hezbollah terrorist responsible for arms transfers to the Islamic terror group, the military said Friday.

Mohammed Mahdi Ali Shaheen, described as a key member of Hezbollah’s Geographical Unit, was struck Thursday in his operating zone; Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley.

Shaheen played a critical role in facilitating weapons transfers from Syria into Lebanon, the IDF said. He was also responsible for making purchase deals for Hezbollah and mediating the arrival of shipments for distribution to various units, contributing to the terror group’s military buildup,” the IDF said in a statement. The military said in addition that he worked closely with weapons dealers and smugglers along the border.
