IDF forces, guided by Intelligence and Shin Bet, continue operations against terrorist groups in Gaza. Fighter jets destroyed a launcher in northern Gaza after a Friday attack.
In Operation “Gideon’s Chariots,” IDF eliminated terrorists, demolished booby-trapped structures, underground and above-ground terror infrastructure, and anti-tank positions. Over 100 targets, including terrorists, military structures, and shelters, were struck in the past 24 hours.
The IDF has deployed all regular infantry and armored brigades—Golani, Givati, Nahal, Kfir, Paratroopers, Commando, 7, 188, 401—along with reserve brigades in the Gaza Strip, with the Paratroopers Brigade recently joining the Khan Yunis offensive under Division 98.
Most brigades have new commanders since the 2023 ground maneuver began, except for the 188, Nahal, Givati, and Kfir brigades. Southern Command sources report thorough, systematic progress in the ground operation, with extensive engineering work using bulldozers and D-9s to counter numerous explosive devices and booby traps. Tens of thousands of Gazans have been evacuated from northern Gaza and Khan Yunis. Most terrorists are identified remotely and neutralized via airstrikes, with minimal direct clashes.
