IDF Intercepts Drone Smuggling Handguns from Jordan

IDF troops thwarted an attempt to smuggle seven handguns into Israel from Jordan Thursday night, the military announced Friday. The sophisticated smuggling operation utilized a drone flying over the border in an area south of the Dead Sea.

According to the IDF, soldiers from the Bardelas Brigade, a light infantry unit, were conducting routine operations when they identified an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crossing the border from Jordan. The troops quickly tracked the drone’s trajectory.

After the drone landed, forces moved in and located the device. Upon inspection, they discovered it was carrying seven handguns, indicating a professional and organized attempt to bypass border security measures.
