The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson announced that, following a situational assessment, the military has decided to increase the alert level and impose a ban on leaves for combat units and operational forces in the Southern Command.
Additionally, significant reinforcements will be deployed to strengthen defense missions in the region. The troop reinforcements will enhance regional defense and prepare forces for various scenarios in the region.

This comes after Hamas’s announced a delay in the release of hostages for the planned sixth phase, set to begin on Saturday. Israel is now preparing for a response. The Security Cabinet is scheduled to meet tomorrow morning, ahead of schedule..
