The IDF and Shin Bet announced Monday that they have identified 21 senior operatives of Palestinian Islamic Jihad who were eliminated in recent operations in the Gaza Strip.

According to the statement, these “key terrorists” were among hundreds of Islamic Jihad members killed over the past six months during ongoing fighting in the enclave.

Officials listed several high-ranking commanders from across Gaza. They include Muhammad Mashtaha, in charge of “military specialization” in northern Gaza; Amir Wadi, head of the sniper unit in the Khan Younis Brigade; Jamal Maamar, responsible for rocket artillery in Rafah; Fadl Abu al-Ata, a sector chief in Gaza City; Abdullah Abu Tir, commander of the eastern Khan Younis sector; Waam Abu Hajaj, who led the eastern area in northern Gaza; and Samir Abu Shawish, commander of Rafah’s Yabna sector.

The security services also identified five specialists involved in weapons production for Islamic Jihad: Muntasir Salah, Ahmad Qadi, Fuad Ghanam, Khaled Bana, and Saeed Mashraoui.

Additionally, the statement named terrorists who had taken part in direct attacks on Israeli troops in Gaza. Those included Basem al-Kheir, the leader of a sniper cell; Youssef Kassab, deputy commander of the eastern Rafah sector; and Murad Abu-Jarad, deputy commander in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza.

Several other lower-ranking operatives were not individually named but were shown in an infographic released by the IDF.
