IDF Targets Hamas Command Center in Hospital, Eliminates Terrorist ‘Journalist’ Hassan Eslaiah

The IDF announced that it launched a targeted operation on a Hamas terrorist command center operating within the Nasser Hospital compound in Khan Younis.

Hamas terrorist Hassan Eslaiah, who worked for Associated Press but accompanied the terrorists into Israel during the Oct. 7 massacre, was eliminated.

Last month, the IDF attempted to eliminate Eslaiah in an airstrike, but he survived that incident.

In a statement, the military emphasized that Hamas continues to use the Nasser Hospital compound for operational planning against Israel.

According to the IDF, the location was being used by a man who succeeded Ismail Barhoum, a senior Hamas figure previously killed by Israeli forces during a strike on the same compound in March.

Barhoum had been a member of Hamas’s political bureau, in charge of the group’s financial operations, and had replaced Issam Da’alis, the de facto prime minister of Gaza, who was also killed in March.

The army did not release the identity of Barhoum’s successor in its latest update and did not confirm whether he was the specific target of the strike or if he was among the casualties.

“Senior Hamas terrorist organization officials continue to use the hospital for terror purposes, cynically and cruelly exploiting the civilian population in and around the hospital,” the IDF said in its statement.
