Israel’s Kan News reports that a proposed truce between Israel and Lebanon stipulates that the IDF must withdraw from Southern Lebanon within seven days. However, it allows for defensive actions against potential threats.
- The eight-page draft, fully published by Kan late Wednesday evening, was presented to Israeli political leaders by U.S. presidential envoy Amos Hochstein.
- The agreement also outlines that the US, along with other unnamed countries and UNIFIL in Lebanon, will oversee its implementation. It requires Hezbollah and other terror groups to pull out of Southern Lebanon within 60 days of the agreement being signed.
