Israel is preparing for the upcoming execution of a hostage deal, with details to be presented to the cabinet members and followed by a vote among government ministers. Prime Minister Netanyahu has secured a majority in support of the deal.

This evening, the Prime Minister met with political reporters in Israel and outlined the emerging hostage deal, which will include several phases, during which all 98 hostages held in Gaza will be released.

In the first phase, Hamas will release 33 hostages, both dead and alive, including female soldiers, other women, men over the age of 50, as well as the sick and injured.

In exchange, approximately 1,300 Palestinian prisoners, including hundreds of life-term prisoners, will be released. The exact number is expected to change depending on the list of hostages that Hamas will provide.

During the first phase, negotiations will take place for the second phase, which will include discussions on a “permanent ceasefire.” The second phase will involve the release of the remaining hostages, including male soldiers and bodies of those killed. At the same time, there will be a mass release of Palestinian prisoners.
