Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with his wife Sara, extended their warm congratulations to President Donald Trump on his second inauguration as President of the United States.
In his statement, Netanyahu highlighted the significant achievements during Trump’s first term, particularly in relation to the U.S.-Israel alliance. He praised Trump’s withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal, the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the relocation of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, and the acknowledgment of Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
The Prime Minister also noted Trump’s pivotal role in brokering the historic Abraham Accords, which led to peace agreements between Israel and four Arab nations. Netanyahu expressed confidence that the U.S.-Israel partnership would continue to grow stronger under Trump’s leadership, particularly in efforts to counter Iran’s terror activities and ensure long-lasting peace and prosperity in the Middle East.
Netanyahu also thanked President Trump for his efforts in securing the release of Israeli hostages and expressed hope for the return of the remaining captives. He emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to dismantle Hamas’ military capabilities and end its political control over Gaza, ensuring that Gaza would never again pose a threat to Israel.
“I am sure, Mr. President, that under your leadership, the best days of our alliance are yet to come,” Netanyahu concluded in his statement.
