Israel Recalls Negotiating Team from Qatar amid Stalled Talks

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has ordered the full withdrawal of Israel’s negotiating delegation from Qatar, as ceasefire and hostage deal talks with Hamas remain deadlocked, several Israeli media outlets reported.
Sources quoted in the reports said that Hamas has not responded to a proposal backed by the United States, which Israel has accepted.
“If there is a change and Hamas accepts the offer, the delegation will head immediately to wherever needed,” an unnamed Israeli official said.
Earlier this week, Netanyahu had announced that senior members of the delegation were returning from Doha after what he described as “intensive” talks; however, some lower-level representatives had remained behind.
