Israel welcomes Kaploun’s appointment as U.S. Antisemitism Envoy – “Yehuda Will Serve the Jewish People”

Following Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun’s appointment as the U.S. Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism, Israeli leaders expressed their support on X.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrote, “Congratulations to Yehuda Kaploun upon being appointed by President Trump to serve as the Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, Ambassador-at-Large. I am sure that Yehuda will serve America and the Jewish people well. I look forward to working together with Yehuda to confront this growing threat to Jews and free societies everywhere.”
Shas Party Chairman Aryeh Deri added, “I congratulate Yehuda Kaploun on his appointment as President Trump’s Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism. Kaploun has worked tirelessly for the Jewish people for years and will now continue this sacred mission on behalf of all Jews.”
Economy Minister Nir Barkat tweeted, “I welcome Yehuda Kaploun’s appointment as U.S. Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism. At a time when antisemitism is dangerously rising globally, including in the U.S., this is a fitting choice of a visionary leader with extensive experience in upholding Jewish identity.”
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stated, “The fight against antisemitism is a central challenge of our time—a moral and national imperative for the free world. I congratulate Yehuda Kaploun on his appointment as U.S. Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism, a significant step in strengthening the fight against hatred, incitement, and violence toward Jews worldwide.”
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also tweeted, “Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun, a dear Jew and lover of Israel, will serve as Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism. Another excellent choice by the President.”
