UTJ Housing Minister Goldknopf was spotted moments ago dancing at his nephew’s wedding, where songs with lyrics like “We don’t believe in the faithless government” and “We’d rather die than draft” were played.
Goldknopf immediately issued a statement denouncing the song played at the family wedding, saying he disagrees with its content and regrets being present when it was played.
In a statement, Prime Minister Netanyahu commended Minister Goldknopf for denouncing the song played at the event he attended. Netanyahu emphasized that there’s no place for songs opposing IDF service, calling for unity among Israelis in the face of external threats.
Yishai Cohen reported before Goldknopf released his statement that Prime Minister Netanyahu was planning to condemn Minister Goldknopf’s actions.
