Less than a month before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s scheduled testimony in his trial, his lawyers requested a postponement due to his heavily involvement and focus in the ongoing security situations and wars in the region, but the court refused the request

Judges at the Jerusalem District Court denied the request, stating, “We are not convinced that any significant change justifies rescheduling the testimony.”

In a closed session, Netanyahu’s attorneys presented security-related information, but the judges noted that no sufficient basis was shown to alter their decision.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s testimony is scheduled to begin in early December, in just three weeks. The prosecution will first question Netanyahu, followed by his lawyers’ opportunity to conduct a cross-examination.
